The much anticipated return to the track by the highly regarded Griffon was well worth waiting for.Returning after a 15 month spell due to injury, the imposing son of Flying Spur set a new track record at Randwick (Kensington) for 1100m on 20/1/10, scorching over the distance in 1.2.34, slashing .67 seconds off the old mark, at just his second lifetime start. Griffon is the 3rd winner of the mare Jeune Girl from only 3 foals to race. His dam is carrying a positive test to International sprinter Choisir.
